been asked to make an offer on a HW 97, Hawke scope and hard case, not a mark on the woodwork, metal, treated with kid gloves, still has the tin of JSB`s he bought with the gun £3:30 (500 tin), from new.
What sort of price would you honestly offer, without offending, don`t want to make a complete prat of myself ?

Private sale minimum £475 depends on scope and condition. Check the stock screws for marks.
My recently bought 77k laminate was £500 from an rfd and that's pristine without a scope.
