How the Pavilion got it's name.

I've been banging on about the Pavilion, but never really explained how it got it's name. So here is the story.

After coming to the conclusion my knees and back were no longer in a fit state to crawl in and more importantly, out, of a one man backpacking tent, I decided that to keep on camping I would need something more suitable for an ageing old fartess with dicky knees.
And so I started the search for a more age friendly tent. It had to be tall enough for me to stand up in, light and compact enough to still be able to take on the buses, easy for one person to erect and a reasonable price.
Well I found the perfect tent that ticked all the boxes bar the price thing. I had chosen a Vaude Grande Campo 3 person tent. Only problem was at £255 it was waaaaay too expensive. So I did what any grown woman would do when faced with something out of her price range..... I sulked. Enough for even my son to notice. I told him what the problem was and he offered to buy one for me (I raised a good un') So he started looking on Amayzon and if the jammy sod didn't find one mis priced at £89!!!!!
Needless to say he ordered it and it duly arrived. We unpacked it and had just enough room in the lounge to put it up. Once erected, the now famous words were uttered by my son; "bloody hell woman, that's not a one person tent...that's a F*^%$+*= Pavilion!" I told him I couldn't ever remember saying it was a one man tent.

So here it is. My Pavilion. Tall enough to stand up in, compact enough to fit in a holdall with all the other camping gear and weighs less than 5kg. It's great!
