that looks nice - have not seen that one before and is alot cheaper than the HYDRO ..the hydro is $240 ( with backup battery and all the other add-ons )

I can see your point , it you are lighting a fire anyway ..you may as well get the electricity off it ...

Get an old desk fan blade and a small alternator and some wire and bits and pieces and build one Steve

Yes i seen this japanse guy on youtube making is own - it worked fine as was ( looked like ) what you described ie: a fan on a wooden pole just stuck into the water with motor
