I'll admit that he captured my heart strait away. While he's still very young he appears to have bags of potential and he looks like he's going to be a big boy.

I met the mother of the litter that he's from this morning when we collected him, she is absolutely beautiful. He's likely to exceed 50kilos when he's fully grown.
He's probably not show standard but truthfully all I want from him is a happy, healthy, well socialised pet. He's had a busy day today and is now completely flaked out.

Skye's gonna be a big doggo! I hope the bills for his fodder aren't too onerous. Quite literally, The Boy costs more to feed than I do, even though we eat similar things.

Skye looks awesome. But can you tell us more about his temperament and behaviour?

Alan

Skye is already eating far more than the others, at the moment he needs around 7% of his body weight in raw food. At just over 14 weeks he weighs 20kilos so eats around 1.4 kilos of meat, bone and offal...not something that would be my first choice but he seems to enjoy it.

It's a bit early to tell much about his temperament, he's still very much of a baby. He's good with the other animals and his house training has gone really well so we know he isn't stupid....deerhounds in general are usually gentle giants, lazy but fun loving....sometimes they're a bit wilful

He's up to a shade under 23kilos at just over 16 weeks old. I've just weighed him and wormed him after picking up some more wormers during a trip to the vet with my cat.
