Members Dogs

Big decision happening in our family at present. Whether to expand our family to four.

The Boy is soon turning five and would love a puppy of his own.

My wife is also enamoured of the project but it won’t be her out everyday training and socialising and shampooing, going to the vets and feeding. She’ll just get puppy cuddles and kisses…

We are thinking of getting a girl pup, who will be The Boy’s niece. A new litter is coming from The Boy’s breeder, who breeds to supply Australian Police Services. The Boy’s dad was a Federal Police Officer and his mum a mountain rescue dog imported from Czechslovakia. The new Litter is bred (Artificial insemination) from Dad who is Northern Territory Police Dog and so younger half brother to The Boy.

As an aside, The Boy was the first of his line in the Northern Territory. We had him about a year up here before the Territory Police began placing orders for his younger siblings who now serve in the Dog squad. We’ve met them a few times when we’ve been to town and The Boy plays his role as big brother of the family well.

So we need to confirm our pup in the next two weeks. Big decisions! If a new baby joins our little family, she will doubtless find her way onto the pages of this forum….🥰

I also have a saluki cross but she is half border collie, she’s a little old lady now and perfectly behaved but for the first seven years she was a complete pain in the rear…two intelligent (insane) breeds crossed together. Apparently salukis are one of the oldest breeds of hunting hound, bred for hunting gazelle. Part of a group of hounds originally bred in Persia.
 
must be in the air as im also looking about :) plan to add another 2 woofers to the pack . 1 englishbull terrier and also a French bull dog (to go along side the 2 English bulls i have already :eek:

We must be insane but we have our names down with a breeder in Essex for another deerhound
 
Good boy!

Out on this evenings stroll The Boy points out an old black head snake lying on our path.
