Yes, movies for their entertainment value rather than educational.what? you mean like "Mad Max" or "The Road"!
Good one, I had forgotten all about the Postman. Thank you. Worth watching again.I quite liked "The Postman" and "Dances with Wolves".
Thanks again, I will check that outyes, that was a good movie.
also if you can watch the original bbc series of "survivors", much better than the later politically correct 2nd series.
I have to admit that I was not impressed with this movie, too many mistakes. I suppose that is the problem with being knowledgeable about a certain period, you can't help but see all the mistakes! I must watch it again some time & try to ignore the details & just enjoy it for what it is. After the shift to more authenticity in the latest Last Of The Mohicans (though there were mistakes made in this one too), my expectations were high for the Revenant.Watch the revenant with Leonardo decaprio excellent movie there's not much dialogue in it but that works well with the plot
Thank you Prime, I will check it out.I liked '100 Mornings' - Which I think represents what I would consider a fairly accurate gritty ( if slow ) breakdown in society.

movies are good for relaxation but I would never base my survival on them.
