Earlier police made a statement that they suspect African migrant gangs in Victoria have merged & have been trying to attract police so they can lure them into dead end streets where they can ambush them. Not sure about the ambush part, could just be more sensationalism by the police. They have already gained more police powers through terror campaigns & there are now combat police out on the streets carrying sub machine guns.

Look at the age of these kids, no experience whatsoever! This is a big problem over here, young cops lose it when the situation gets hot!
I would imagine that more innocent citizens would be killed by the police than by terrorists using sub machine guns in a city environment! That is what happened in the Lindt Cafe siege.

A white Suzuki SUV run down a lot of pedestrians this afternoon in Melbourne. The area is shut down & swarming with armed police. This vehicle was said to be travelling very fast in the city limits & appeared to be targeting pedestrians just like last years attack, but as yet we are not sure if this was a targeted attack or just a drunk on a rampage.

AN Islamic State sympathiser planned to buy a gun and kill as many revelers as possible on New Year's Eve in Melbourne, police alleged Tuesday after foiling the plot.

expect more terrorist incidents in the days leading up to Christmas, its a favoured time for attacks.
 
Isn't it bizarre that the modern age of "globalisation" has resulted in western countries importing all the bad stuff and not so much of the good stuff?
 
is there anything good about globalisation? I don't think there is.

At least one report of a terrorist being arrested who planned an attack over Xmas/New Years in Australia. I suppose it is a good time to find a lot of people all in one place.

christmas markets, shopping malls, tube trains even buses have been targets in the past.
anywhere people gather in numbers COULD be a target.
