Sorry @Aquilosdad .............missed this one.

Lovely van mate.....is that overhead sleeping above the cabin or have you used it for storage/both?
In the picture it looks like you have invested in the Jormax wind breaks.....no more chasing around the fields in a good blow  solid bits of kit:thumbsup:
When the current situation calms down a bit.....have you any trips planned......or in the making?
We are hoping to get a trip in to Scotland in the early Spring for a week or two.....may split it between B&B and van to give the back a rest :rofl:

Happy and safe Travels mate
Hi there, we always sleep in the over cab bed so we don’t have to worry about making one up every night but do store bags etc up there while driving.
We splashed out on the Jormax system as we take 3 dogs with us and the last wind break was not up to it ads a bit of security for them if they want to sit outside.
We have 3 trips planned and paid for next year(we usually go to sites) as our first 2 this year were cancelled due to covid can’t wait to go back up the west coast, regards steve

Hi Steve :)

THREE dogs.....you are a braver man than me ........we have an 8 month old puppy and he is MORE than enough:rolleyes::rofl:

Having the overhead sleeping is a bonus for all the reasons you mention.......and yours is big enough to do it.
The overhead on ours is only really big enough to fit a teenager at best into.....but makes for some good storage for just the two of us.
Making the bed up after a beer or two can be fun :rofl:

A lot to be said for using the sites....especially if you are out for a while.....hook up....toilets....showers etc......and a bar if lucky 🍻:D
Living where you do with all that wonderful scenery and trails.......... a van comes into its own.
It will more than likely be the West Coast we choose to visit first of all......like a bit of sea angling so a site near or on the beachfront would be good.....any recommendations mate?

Hope you manage to get your next trip in without complications

Hi Bill, we used to camp at a place called Clachtoll, right on the beach amongst the dunes. It's fairly high up above Ullapool but great for fishing and diving.

Hi folks, we plan to visit Clachtoll next year with a bit of luck lol
We find the site at north leidaig above Oban very good, you can sometimes get a pitch overlooking the beach but you are never more than 5mins away and the pub is in walking distance the one at Brora is great too.
Are you booked on any sites for next year if not book now as it was crazy this year the amount of hire vans being turned away from full sites was incredible.
Are you a member of any of the clubs they allow you to book sites a year in advance and just pay on arrival and there are some good discounts to be had from various retailers also.
Regards Steve

Re your above post Steve.....yes we are members of the Motorhome & Caravanning club.....it does have its benefits and advantages for sure
All that was required to book for North Leiburg was a £10 deposit.....the rest payable on arrival.....very helpful and friendly on the phone

We had the van M.O.Td yesterday......passed with flying colours
Found out we have a crack around the tap on the waste water tank.....easy fix.....hopefully.
"Number 1 Son" is going to try and plastic weld it for me.
Apart from that.....we are good to go......happy days :)

Just ordered some more "Bog in a bag packs" to keep in the van.....love these things.......saves using the van toilet if you are out for a day trip......or wild camping over a longer period with no facilities.
They sit perfectly into the van toilet bowl.

Is that bowel or bowl?
