Didn’t see the picture when I first read your post , different to what I imagined, John nowill Bowie normally well the ones I know of have a slender blade much like the scout Bowie…. Nice handle

I think it’s rosewood but I’m not quite positive, I’m not even sure if it’s original but it is well fitted. I spent yesterday evening cleaning gunk and tree sap off it, it’s obviously been used for splitting logs.
I’m looking forward to some pics of the PXL when you’ve unwrapped it.

I’ve had a good look over it bill , oozing quality as you say … very happy with it mate , and Sharon was impressed, that’s not easy to achieve

Good show TW I already have a very small chip in it, blade is perfect, user on this occasion as I’m heavy handed lol… I was going to use my normal stone and strop (when I eventually get round to it ) until I read this

It’s almost unnoticeable but it’s there lol I’m glad it’s the edge is convex, easy to sharpen
