Painted Lady.

They do well off my fields, I leave the knapweed standing long after most have already cut their hay, I mainly do it for the bees but the painted ladies benefit. I've tried to introduce as much habitat for wildlife as I can.
They're only common until they're not.
 
I remember as a child seeing loads of Butterflies flitting around.
The favourite being the Peacock followed by the Tortoiseshell.
Don't see many about these days though........its a shame :(
