Really are you trying to frighten people away from foraging ? there are at least 10 mushrooms out the that can't be mistaken for anything else and are safe to eat ?

I don’t know much in foraging but it’s probs best people aren’t giving out mushroom advice incase it does kill someone who’s inexperienced even if it can’t be mistaken (human error) - id love to know more granted haha

It is not a case of trying to frighten people away from foraging.

If members wish to further their knowledge of foraging as individuals then good on them.
The forum felt it safer and more beneficial to its members to expand their knowledge through dedicated written references.........or professional courses thus avoiding any accidents or incidents as a result of information and poor/mistaken identity of plants and fungi gleaned from the Bushcraftforum.

It was hoped that members would understand and respect the decision of the forum

Fair point but i think you will find more have been killed by knives than foraged plants or fungi but together ?
