I weave using a bow hitch screw this same method, it will pull undo very fast also with just a cow hitch knot at the middle, i can use any colour or length usually about 14 - 16 feet of cord, anyone wanting one just ask.

coil it around my hand and elbow and then tie it a couple of times around the middle, so it ends up tied in the middle and a loop either side, tie it off onto my backpack or in a side pocket.
