@Bopdude and I have been out wild-camping this weekend on the North Yorkshire Moors .
We met up with a guy I know who put us onto a nice little spot . We dropped in Friday night and left this morning …. Lovely couple of nights in the hammocks , good craic , good company , few scoops and the obligatory food fest .

Friday night was spot on but Saturday slightly disturbed by another group ( large and young ) and it looked like we would have to ditch … anyway they kept to themselves and it turned out ok in the end .
The site looks popular and was a bit messy so we had a tidy up and carried our rubbish and stuff that had been discarded .

Anyhow here’s a few pics for you .

A cracking baby Adder about 5" long, so pleased we were spending nights in the hammocks.
Wildlife was everywhere

With lots of bird song filling the air as well it was a real treat.
A couple more pictures in no particular order.

I had decided against the bushbox and went with my trusty but seldom used now Woodgas stove, I love this little stove, it burns the smallest bits of twig and sticks, note to self, must use it more.

Now I know very little about Shrooms, I thought this was chicken of the woods? Anyone ?

All in all a cracking weekend in a new spot with new friends and old. Thanks for looking.

Looks like a cracking weekend! What was the photo of the guy with the gun??
Can't beat the hammock for staying up off the bugs and beasties!

It was an Edgun (?) , pcp , very modern looking piece of kit , think the guy imported it from Holland but they are Russian made and cost a lot - That's all I know.

Oh and it was very accurate ........

It was some piece of kit, around the £700 mark, and no, not ours lol

Thanks for sharing guys......pictures are lovely.......what a cracking spot to spend a couple of days/nights
Are you planning a return?
