Nice pictures @Bam

Some lovely scenery.......and difficult terrain in places by the looks of it.
Grey and stormy skies......wet weather.......I bet you were glad to climb in the tents for rest/shelter....... and hot brew. :)

Cracking trip.....thanks for sharing.

Day 2 and 3 with our wee detour to the first tunnel at Glenfarg. The Sans Frontieres burger van ww passed and basically broke us with the man size breakfast wrap. You can see half of it and we were helped by a stray cat but the phot was too large.
That last phot is the start/end of the Fife Coastal Path, there's one at Kincardine too.

Day 4, Newburgh to Balmerino and the day of our 'Bear Grylls night'. Not so many phots as it was miserable. I took a phot of the noticeboard we hunkered under but.... Too large.

Balmerino round to Tentsmuir. Another 13 mile day and we got there in time to find a crepe van open which made our dinning options easier. Then a 10 mile finish into San Andreas. The phot of the welcome sign was too big too.

Excellent! Thanks for those Bam, I'm glad I live where I do otherwise those photos of open country would be hard to look at during lock down. Some beautiful country there..

Cheers Sax, there were a fair few that were 'too big' to upload, I'll see if I can get my wingman to put some up too.

Great write up guys and some fabulous pictures , looked like a testing trip but that's sometimes the way of it , looks like you adapted and overcame the issues well . I might have missed earlier in the thread but what tents were you using ??

Hi Rob, Smurf was using his DD 3x3 tarp, he used it in an A shape the whole trip. I was using my old Vango Beaufort 2 ridge tent. It was the mutts nuts when I got it about 37 years ago. Its done me well over the years but its starting to show its age, I saw a small hole in the outer when I had the inner door open. I'll try and repair it, by modern standards its a heavy tent (probs about 3kg) but its maybe time I got another smally one.
