Shooting Show, NEC.

I wish I could go, there are likely to be some cracking bargains.
I doubt it. From what I've been told of shows of all kinds lately the bargains just aren't there to be had.
Plus the £30 a ticket is it, and travel. I'm not to far away and I'm not bothered.
Been to various exhibitions in various places and would rather take the gun I've got for a walk these days.
Blumin expensive once your in aswell.

Grumpy old fcuker me I is. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It was a better day than I thought it would be, I don’t normally go for these things and probably won’t do it again in the near future, but it was nice to see some of the new kit that is around. Certainly a lot of Air Gun porn!

The big plus for me was talking to D&C Police Firearms chap, who, before my very eyes, chased up my Co-Teminus renewal I have been waiting for since last April. All good with that one.

Met a couple of old friends, one being Charley Jackoby of Fieldsports Channel fame. We did our DSC together many years ago, and I have helped him out with three episodes of his shows. The man does a tremendous amount for Country Sports.

But no bargains, these type of shows very rarely turn up a bargain. One example: I bought some new trousers from The Gun Room last week, £48, Percussion Marley, good value trousers for rugged use. The exact trouser reduced to £59.00…….So I told him! 👍

I would never ever buy a gun or rifle at these shows, I have three outlets within a 20 mile radius, one owned by a friend of mine who will always price match for me. Plus if I came home with another gun, I have four shotguns and two rifles, my wife would have put me on hard rations! Actually, she wouldn’t, she does care. 👍

The gundog demo was an absolute let down, Chris Green is to gundog demos, what I am to Political Correctness on a grumpy day! I could have done a far better demo with Shitbags, it was truly awful. Gundogs are my thing. 👍

So, did I enjoy the day out? Yes definitely, four true country boys from the depths of Devon out of their comfort zone, lots of banter and flatulence.
Was it worth the money, £25, mmmmmm, not sure it was.
Would I go again? Not bothered.
