Wales Spring meet 2023 - Chatter and banter and pictures .

It's probably a bit late for a write-up now but as the saying goes "Better late than never!"
I really enjoyed our time at Mike and Louise's little slice of Paradise in Wales along with all their well-beloved animals. A change is as good as a rest as they say and it was a great change to my everyday routine. It was the first outing for our new tent (marquee 🀣), our first time in Wales and my first taste of rabbit. The tent was really good space-wise, if possibly, maybe a little too large to keep warm, the bits of Wales I saw were very nice and green with rolling hills and patchwork fields filled with plenty of sheep. I found the architecture in the village and nearby town interesting. The rabbit stew made for us by Mike was delicious.
The company was really good and the whole time was very relaxing, and I even managed to sleep pretty well (for me) despite being cold a couple of the nights. It was apparently -3 and -5 deg. But the weather did play ball for us in the main with only one day in which it rained and plenty of sunshine too!
I came home feeling relaxed and refreshed. I've probably lost most of that now sadly!
Anyway, here are a few photos of mine that Paul might not have shared.

Not wishing to steal Paul's thunder but if you decide to make a purse net, take some steel rings (preferably stainless) approx inch in dia. this is to cast your net on and of, I use jute twine far better than synthetic. once you have made you net it will be stiff, when you get home wash it in a conditioner this will make it pliable. And being natural cordage dry if wet after use. Happy net making enjoy
