Grey and overcast to start the day, but when I left home the sun came out and today has been a scorcher, which was handy as I spent a couple of hours in a steel box !! Now I know how a Chicken in the oven feels...
The shed at the cottage is small, full up and home to Dinghy munching Mice, so I rent one of these containers on a secure site in Town.
Open the door and it's about 40 C in there....
Bergans? Just a sample, there are more at home....Tents?....Not another tent for me I've decided...that's it...probably.
Remember these? Cobmaster...I've had this since the 1960's . Red, Yellow or blue were the favourite colours, Arctic Explorers and Mountaineers used bright coloured packs, so all the trendy 'Back Packers' did too....
I transplanted the ally frame onto an East European Military pack, quite like an Alice Pack in style and it makes a good day/overnight rig.
Smokey Hut Tipi !! What? That's not a tent, this is a tent...Early 1970's state of the art kit....
My canoe barrel mounted on a surplus radio frame.
Two hours scuffling about in there and I was cooked to a turn...Spent the rest of the day cleaning green grime off my boat where she has been standing ashore under trees for a year. Hope to be afloat by the end of the month..
