I have created this thread so that the chatter and banter can continue, but keep the main thread clear and on-topic. It makes it difficult to spot serious questions and other such things when there is so much background noise.

@Ark79 Re. the Summer meet. I live at about half distance for you travelling down, just off Jct 29 of the M6 . So if you want to break your journey for a coffee and a rest I can give you directions . Alternatively, we could rendezvous at Jct 29 and travel in convoy, and I know the way. I have PIR radios to keep in contact.

It may just be a case of the blind leading the blind…he found us once but that may have been a fluke…they’re busy redesigning the road layouts as we speak.

Are there any signal crayfish in the Irfon Mike (@Ystranc )?

There are American signal crayfish in the Wye and Irfon however fishing them is highly regulated to prevent spreading them upstream. It is possible to get permission from NRW but it’s time consuming and difficult. They’re particularly obtuse when it comes to crayfish traps.
