TARP TENT

A thought this would be the best place for this thread as it’s not camping and I made it myself

Few of the lads on here inspired me to make a tent from my 4x4 DD tarp (excellent quality) so it’s a cracking day and my little ones need a shelter from the suns so why not said aye lol. However I may have made them an oven must keep an eye on the little ones. Can’t have them going crispy. Anyway here’s my first attempt with the tarp tent. By the by there is plenty of room in this

Well done mate, looks a bit slack but you can play around and tighten it up if needed. Looks like someone's enjoying it.

I've only every used the 3X3 but the principle should be the same, you'll just have more room in yours.

Mark, what are you using as the upright ? Is it adjustable ???? I tend to use a walking pole.

Am using a painting pole mate ... I am going to buy a walking pole.. can’t go carrying a painting pole around with me. The tax man could think bad of me

Lol it is mate couldn’t use my 3x3 as it doesn’t have the loops in the right place. Might have to get a new 3x3

You can use a 3x3 but you need to cut wee wooden toggles or use wee stones.

I tend to have the back end narrower if I'm facing it towards a strong breeze but yup, that's the badger. I'll also bring the front end in narrower if I'm expecting rain but its quite a flexible option.

For a first crack at it......it looks good......and litluns like it too
Never tried this myself but can see the plus sides to it and the protection it would offer
