A short trail run on the North Yorkshire Moors .... I’m new to this so just trying to get my 53 year old body used to exercise again , not worried about times and distance just wanting to increase my activity for now .

trail running seems to offer a great combination of runnning / being able to walk / being outdoors / and new kit to buy 🙄😁.

A few pics from today , I stopped at a suitable point for a moment of reflection for all those who sacrificed their lives so I could run freely 🙏

Good for you Rob, I've gone through the motions a couple times of getting out running again but they've come to nothing. I used to love it too.

Never been a fan really but need to improve my fitness as I age and now I’ve lost a bit of timber it seems a little easier and a bit more fun . Will help getting to those wild camping spots when we can get back out too 😁👍

It’s a great boast of confidence when some timber is lost😁

when I was 20 something I was running 3 to 4 miles every other day, worked out 3 times a week on the weights, had the six pack and all, roughly around 30 I stopped but continued to eat around 4000 calories a day as I was use to because of the weightlifting, shot up to 16 and a half stone, managed to drop a few over the years only to put it back on. This is how marky became a fat fook’r 😂

@Madriverrob keep posting buddy it’s giving me some inspiration to start again 😁👍🏻

All power to you Rob, losing the lard will have helped deffo, both practically and in your head. I hope you get into it as its easier to keep things going that you enjoy.

Yeah its easy to lose and hard to get back Mark, I've been a fitty and a fatty and while I'm content with being a fatty, I'd rather be fitter, the problem is, just not enough to do anything about it.

Love it!!...But since my brain op., the lack of a balance (vestibular) system would cause much merriment!!
(I WILL fall over running on rough terrain ) At 64, it's a hoot!

What beautiful, beautiful places people get to...................................
