Im a bit boring with my palate and tend to stick to the same foods. Claire decided to cook me a meal tonight that she last ate about 12 years ago when visiting family in South Africa.
Its a poor man's dish called Bobotie.
Strange mix of a curry with a savoury custard, served with yellow rice, coconut, chutney, chopped nuts (which we omitted as Claire is highly allergic, epi pen and hospital jobbie) bananas! As strange as it sounds it is one of the most delicious meals I have ever had.

Well mate sweet and savory can go well together, think roast lamb with red currant jelly or Turkey with cranberry sauce
