Some nice looking sites there chaps.

Re: Campsites that are Bushcraft friendly

There is also camping at Bush Farm, which is where the annual Wilderness Gathering is held - a very nice place it is too and well worth a visit to see the bison if you're in the area.

Here's the link folks: http://www.bisonfarm.co.uk/index.htm

Pond Head farm, Lyndhurst in the New forest Hampshire.

A working farm where you can see rare breed piglets, Great farm shop stocking their own beef and pork products. Camping is in fields a stones throw from the forest including a pine wood, Fires have to be off the ground. The owner Gerald and his family are very welcoming. Booking in advance is recommended.

Devon, Lynton, Watersmeet.

Camp 10ft from Watersmeet, no fires but what an experience falling asleep to the sound of a waterfall!

didnt know of that one, the website suggests they accomadate hammocking ;) i will check it out soon

Hammocks, tarp and bivvi or tents, they´re all fine. There´s a huge wood you can loose yourself in.

Re: Campsites that are Bushcraft friendly

I stayed here about 5 years ago (solely because it allowed fires) and it was nice, though very busy when we went.

It is a nice site, in a valley so out the wind, horse riding was good, reminded me of how camping use to be. Think i might pop there this summer :D

one here from north devon: Hole Station, Beaworthy, North Devon. its on the grounds of an old train Station, shut long ago courtesy of Dr. Beeching! its "adults only" and basic facilities, off the A 3072, I don't know what its like, never stayed there, just walked the dog past it a few times, maybe someone could try it out and do a review for us?: www.freewebs.com/holestationcampsite/

Park farm (near Hastings) 2016 update

I went to park farm over the weekend and it has become a party site, drinking booze starts around midday with most of the weekend campers drunk and shouting into the early hours and now that electric hook up is in the rear field people are taking stereos and blasting music all day and all night so don't expect to sleep until 3am, staff have little control over the site now and are happy for the large groups to do as they please (all about money I guess). . a good place if you want to have a cheap outdoor party late into the night, not so good for a quite few nights sorry to say but avoid park farm guys.
