I know there are knife specialists here who will probably scoff at this thing but I'm continually on the lookout for budget kit as I just cannot afford to spend £100 on a better class knife.

Yes, I know but I'm a sucker for a bargain and £6 is no loss if it's utter kack.

Out of box mini-review here.

Forget it Paul, if you want a cheapie go for the hultafors HD. About the same price as the extol but about 4 times better and you'll never brake it

Nice mini review giz and for 6 quid a don't think you could go wrong. You can always have it as a spare m8

Good review, I guess it's 420 stainless which is ok, like the grippy handle good for wet and bloody food prep :) I've got a £5 I like as much as a £100 one ;)

Giz as long as it does the job its allgood mate iI like the extol its a good little sturdy knife I love the shape 420 stainless is good it will hold an edge I use a smiths field sharpener on them then finish with my welsh slate stone good edge and it will cut just coz it costs £6 means nothing I mean look at the opinel cheap but really good for 6 quid ya really can't go wrong

Nice knife Paul.

If you loose it or break it its not going to put a dent in the bank balance to replace it

Good Video too mate.:)

I like 420 stainless as above easy to sharpen doesn't rust, got to be the new tool steel in my eyes :alert:

I think Mel should disable my Amazon account when I'm having a drink LOL

The guy has transformed the knife......looks very cool.
Will you be doing the same to yours Paul?

When it comes to cheap knifes ,really there is only two thing worth doing for me.Buy a mora of coarse everyone is going to say that. But also old carbon steel chef/butchers knifes you get second hand can be great.I see it this knife fills a gap in the market and at that price you got wonder how they do it.
