Went for a walk along the river Findhorn today, started of in rain and made it a challenge to get a wee fire going for a coffee.

On the way back I saw a couple of squirrels. Got a picture one.

then I spotted something in the base of a tree, turned out to be a wasps bike (nest) , never seen one so low before.

Not seen them like that before but then, I'm no expert. I've disturbed a couple of subterranean ones in the past. Looks like you had a good day out though mate. We didn't have the weather for it today (and the missus has had a (genuine) bad back over the last couple days, getting the fear she'll not go to work tomorrow ) so didn't get out for a long walk with the dugs as planned. I'm a bit jealous to be honest, a nice long walk in the woods is great.
