cheers will have a look at themA sharp one mate sorry a couldn’t resist
High carbon steel is good easily sharpened but dose need a little care because it will rust quite quickly if left alone.
Stainless is more durable in way of rust....it will rust eventually but takes longer... bit harder to sharpen tho. But still a good steel
As for what knife....it’s more of a personal choice mate. There are many to choose from. camp knifes are good check out falkeniven. Expensive tho. Mora get a good review. There are a few members who have an Anglo knife witch get good reviews. Myself I use buck and buffalo river knifes. But lol I do have a few more (bit of a knife tart ya see).
I like carbon blades and if they get a bit dis colored so what. Among my knives I have a very cheap hultafors HD carbon and that will do anything a hundred pound blade will do and it cost about 7 quidwhats the best knife to use for bushcraft.... stainless or tool steal ?????
any one got a mark hill knife he lives close to me ????Agree with joe; my carbon steel mora and hultafors knives are a bit tarnished but on the meat of the blade, not the cutting edge.
Would really go for anything more expensive.

which one mora ?My post was really meant to be "wouldn't go for anything more expensive than a mora/hultafors."

Likewise, I have one of eachI've got both, I prefer the mora but the hultafors tend to be cheaper.

I usually get mine from amazon mate, also you will want a sharpening stone which I don't use or a steel which I dowheres best to get one?
I agree, I have a companion in stainlessA good start knife would be a mora clipper in stainless or carbon the choice is yours, stainless- no rust, holds sharpness longer but harder to sharpen, carbon- rusts very easy but easy to sharpen.
I think I will try one in stainless because I go to coast a lotI agree, I have a companion in stainless
Good move mateI think I will try one in stainless because I go to coast a lot
