Where have all the Greys gone.

First one for a while, walked miles today and only saw 2. Its either a case of the squirrel equivalent of myxy, alien abduction or someone's shot
them all.

Have you got anywhere you can make a hide...... and put a feeder box/bait station on a tree CB?.....bring them to you rather than walk about looking for them
There are a lot of guys who use them to good effect to cull and control the little critters
Does not have to be anything fancy.....but the better you make and protect it from chewing.....the longer it will last you.

Bait wise.....Dried Maize and a few dried peanuts......works well......you can add a couple of small drops of aniseed oil mixed in with the bait...... to draw them to the station.
It's an enjoyable way to cull them and puts a dent in their numbers.......a flask of coffee is a must

All on the tree line at the bottom of my garden, to the field, with the cackling magpies and jays, they’ve all been playing up with each other for days. Yesterday sat and watch them all day, within 25 yards.
I’m sitting here with a coffee, trying to feed them with lead feeder pellets at 200 barg with Mr RWS.
Not had a shot, time for another coffee

Huh, sat in the hide since 9ish, not seen a bloody thing, would have been better with the 20 gauge shooting pigeons crossing the field,
give up now, think it’s sit in the garden time in the sun, think it’s nearly have a beer o’clock time and survey the situation from afar

That's some high tech feeder there One Shot, if I made one that good I wouldn't want to want to get blood on it.

Just been out over dusk….one rabbit, nothing else apart from pheasants (that are out of season so I left them to their own devices)

What is missing on that one is a piece of thin steel plate to protect the face of the feeder...... 6x5 inch
