Decided to go for a walk and a sneaky brew,
The sunrise over the lake was a sight to behold
The woodland path was still dry and frozen, ridings and wrens darting from branch to branch
Snowdrops Well into bloom, cuckoo pints tarting to poke through too
Met some of the locals along the way.....
These earthworks are called Dyke hills, still working on the history of the place
The Thames, with Wittenham Clumps is the distance
Start of the climb to the Clumps
Halfway there.........
I did take more photos of the Clumps and the veiws, but they won't upload to the site!
Got the brew on, it is well deserved.....
Try out my new pot stand,
Christened my new kuksa with a coffee, then continued on the Thames path to little baldon
The locks and the weir, the noise of the water was deafening!
What appears to be an old military post on the banks of the Thames
on the way to little Baldon......
They even named a roundabout after me
The maps recorded wit the Os maps app, definitely worth a look if your using mapping/ GPS apps/software
It didn't record my walking around on Wittenham Clumps, but all in, according to my phone I walked 14 miles. Was well worth it.
