Decided to go for a walk and a sneaky brew,

The sunrise over the lake was a sight to behold

The woodland path was still dry and frozen, ridings and wrens darting from branch to branch

Snowdrops Well into bloom, cuckoo pints tarting to poke through too

These earthworks are called Dyke hills, still working on the history of the place

It didn't record my walking around on Wittenham Clumps, but all in, according to my phone I walked 14 miles. Was well worth it.

Nice write up and pics Jon. Nice town Dorchester. Went to a cousin's wedding at the Abbey in the 70s with reception at the George Inn. My cousin's wife's family ran the George. Around 2007 I used to go to Abingdon regularly for work and often went for a walk round Dorchester. Lots of money round there.

It is a posh place, nice houses and big cars. Beautiful countryside but I'm missing home now. Back to Wales in 5th march

It was well worth getting up and out early for that sunrise Jon. That is a cracking photo!
It's been a while since you emigrated to the Home Counties, I'm expecting you to come back sounding all posh and speaking the queens English...
