Well, I managed to have a play mate.
Made a bannock mix up:
1 cup flour
1 level teaspoon baking powder.
3 Powdered milk.
1/4 salt
Dash of oil and water.
Currents.
Had no sugar
Used the Firebox to cook with.....filled about halfway with charcoal.
Lit with fire biscuit.
Preheated the tin while waiting for charcoal to settle down a bit.
I knew I had made the dough to stodgy but went ahead anyway after letting it stand for a while.
40 minutes later.....I called my neighbour in to help me lift it from the zebra
Cooked.
Sliced it down the middle and it looked O.K.
On tasting the texture was good.....but definitely put too much salt in there.
Being a current bread it needs a bit of sugar in the mix.
All in all, I'm happy with the setup and end result......just need to tweak the mix now.
The enamel bowl worked well Al.......minimum clean up and fairly nonstick with a wipe of oil around before you add the mix
I will try the Breakfast Muffin tomorrow
The bottom did catch a bit but no drama.
Forgot to mention.....I used the 16cm pot to bake the bannock......work ok mate.
