Power bank.

I am not at all savvy with all the tech stuff Mark......soooo much to choose from

Having looked around and read up on the options for some time now.....this one caught my eye......and as you say.....the reviews are pretty good.....which kind of made up my mind

I will give it a try when it arrives and let you know how it performs mate :xmas-smilie:

I have the Anker PowerCore 2010. In fact, it's so good, the boy got one too. He also had the 10,000mah size, but some thieving git at work pinched it. I take mine camping and it happily provides lights, phone and kindle charging for more than a week. Can't rate it highly enough.
It's worth keeping an eye out as I got mine on a daily deal.

Hi Annie :)

Sorry to hear about your Son's being stolen :(

Glad to hear you rate yours so highly and are happy with the performance.
As for the deals.....too late........I have already hit the button....but thanks :xmas-smilie:

Anker are a good make Bill, I've got a number of powerbanks, a really small one that fits in my wallet all the way to ones about the size you've bought. They're so handy as more stuff is being built with a usb charging capability now. Can also be charged by solar as well as mains/car which is handy.

Cheers Bam :)
I do have a couple of lower capacity ones but this addition should be more than enough to see me through now

Well.....that was quick....Amazon delivered the Power Bank this morning......cant fault their response times
The unit itself looks well made.....but was surprisingly heavy.
Had a quick look through the instructions and advisories.
I have it on charge at the moment in a USB port 5v 2.1 amps socket....... in the kitchen........ as I am not sure wether to plug it into a phone charger adapter?

I will wait now until it reaches full capacity.....run the phone down, and the i-pad tablet and see how long it takes to charge them

Happy Days :xmas-smilie:

I've got one of those somewhere, it's got s solar panel on it, supposedly so that you can hang it on your Bergan in the sun to recharge while walking.
Present from the kids for my last long trek..." Don't forget to stay in touch..yak yak "

Failed..my old phone hasn't got a little slot to plug the Gizmo in for a power transfer..
Good intentions by them but more time needed to be spent on recce of the kit in use...

Its handy to know how many charges of 'things' you can get out of a charger, 3.5 for a phone, 6 for a head torch etc, good luck with it Bill.

The ones with the solar panel do work but they take a while, the panels aren't the biggest so if you leave them out for days you can fill them. You can also plug in external solar panels if you have them. As for your old Nokia....

Small Pin USB Charger Lead Cord for CA-100 C Nokia Mobile - 2 mm to USB Cable UK | eBay

Ebay is great for odds and sods like that.

Cheers Andy.....still charging at the moment :)
Have you managed to top your beast up yet?
No but you've reminded me that I need to bring it in, I had it out today. Its slowly creeping up the 80 percents but I've cheated and used mains to charge a few bits and bobs.

Magic ! Thanks Bam. I will get one from Ebay after the Xmas hoolie dies down, I didn't even realise that such a connector was made. 👍

Its just occurred to me, Nokia changed to a thinner charger from the original, when I was using one you could get an adaptor but its worth checking to see what size your hole is if you excuse the expression.
