You are right there Joe. We have grown Wilja second earlies with great results.
I'm not sure what variety those are Dick because mother in laws handyman/gardener put them in. Unfortunately Shaun doesn't have a clue veg wise which is why he killed half the runner bean plants by tying them to the canes with thread. Whatever variety they are they're packed with flavour
 
We're doing well with the tatties this year too, got loads so give some away. We usually end up giving a fair bit of stuff away although this year a few more neighbours have been growing their own which is good to see.

We do that as well Andy with any excess veg like marrows cucumbers although its a bad year for those and always loads of cooking apples
