Best campfire Soup

Cawl
Beef or Gammon, potatoes, swede, leek water salt and pepper and a stock cube.
Fry off the beef chuck in the rest with the water and stock. 4- 8 hours high over fire, so a slow soup

Or
"JonJay stew"

This one I made with my friend on an overnighter in Pembroke

2lb of venison, onions, carrots, new potatoes, can of bone broth, red wine stock pot, salt and pepper and a few juniper berries
same method as Cawl.

That was a yummy stew 😋

Jon did you bake that tasty looking loaf in a camp oven too? My wife always did that for us out bush.

That soup looks delicious.

I'm afraid I'd did cheat on that one Alan, shop bought rolls. Never been successful in baking bread on the fire.

It was delicious

Who knows, come the Aviemore meet, some venison may walk in and I can recreate it for everyone 🤔😆

More soup (chicken noodle ), unfortunately not made on the camp fire.

I’ve placed my request for parsnip soup 🤞
