A beautiful warm day today so I went out for my training totter. Since being injured I have a tendency to look at the ground too much when I'm walking so I'm trying to cure that, even if I have to slow down to look up. This morning I looked up and spotted a Class 1 Widow Maker poised above the lane.
Not too clear in the photo, but it's a dead Y shaped branch with a natural point on the end where it's broken off. About 5 inches thick and held above the Lane in a tree, purely by it's Y shaped tail. It would put a nasty dent in a car roof, anyone on foot if it comes down would be in serious trouble.
I'll mention it to one of the Foresters when I next see one them.
