Well I decided this week to turn the front garden into a herbal/medicinal garden. This time last week, it was just a steeply sloped, sludgy, clay patch that was covered in dock and buttercup.

Ive made it so it looks pretty, the neighbours just think it's a nice garden, but almost every plant does, and will have its purpose. ( there are some hydrangeas, couple of roses and a few shrubs to pretty it up for now) and at Ā£200 for the timber, landscape fabric and chipped bark , I'm pleased with the final result.

So far there's Bay, Peppermint, Lemon Balm, Oregano, Hyssop, Thyme,Rosemary, Feverfew, Foxglove, Ramsons, Jack-by-the-Hedge, Primrose, Ribwort plantain, and Meadowsweet. There's also 3 Birch trees 4 Sweet Chestnut saplings, a Gooseberry and an Apple tree.

Ive got seeds of the following starting to shoot:
Evening primrose, Devil's Bit Scabious, Echinachea, Lupin and Calendula.

Planning a trip to a nursery that has medicinal plants next week, So many I want to get.
I will update the list of plants once we have been next week.
Feel free to suggest some must have plants, I've been researching garden centres and stock so much my brain is all discombobulated with it šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

I admire your enthusiasm and envy your abilities. I have always had a struggle in the garden, I am beginning to make some progress. Last year I planted some Lavender that's been doing very well. I also had some success with beefsteak tomatoes. This year I want to add bell peppers and russet potatoes. Maybe I'll follow your lead and add a couple of pots of herbs.
