I was looking to make something to make a brew on for when I pop down the woods for the day.
having a look around on the net I decided on the Hobo type can stove.
Looked around at a few cans I had but none of them seemed strong enough and would buckle and bend easy, So I planned on making one from a sheet of galv I had.
Started off cutting the size I required with my air shears and then bent it around a tin to give me the correct size I wanted and joined it together with pop riviots.
I then cut the bottom out and fixed it from the inside with small L brackets which I also riveted on, pushing it up tight to give a tight seal.
I then fitted 4 20mm legs using copper tube and coach bolts.
I then drilled all my holes and cut sections out from the top allowing enough room to feed more wood into it.
I then cut a small bit of 1" Square mesh for the top, which is a nice fit.
So all finished and strong enough to stand on and does not weigh that much.
I am yet to try it out but I know it will work ok as I tried the design out on a flimsy tin I had before hand.
Here is a few pictures
