ok whats is all of this town twinning stuff, everywhere i go i see signs saying that particular places are twinned with other towns all over the world.
is there a purpose behind this or is it just to make intergration into the e.u. a little less painful?

No mate its so all the local Councillors can go on a jolly to their twinned town. at the taxpayers expense. Bit like a holiday exchange club with all expenses paid, by us
