Lorraine and I have been looking around at camper vans for a while now to replace our previous Autosleeper Rienza.
The Rienza was a lovely MH but was a bit on the big side.....nice while parked up.....but not practical to drive around in some of the small towns and villages.....pretty much pitch and stay on site.
Using buses or taxis to get about in the local area as we felt it a waste of time taking another car along on a trip.

So after much thought we have gone smaller....still have the comforts of home but on a smaller scale and more user friendly.
Main advantage being easier to park and also will fit in most car parks.

We have gone for an older van that sports the Monocouqe one piece fibreglass body.......far less chance of any leaks......and winterised.
Double glazing windows and insulated floor.

Went to see it yesterday and did the deal.

Should have it in a couple of weeks after habitation check and new cam belt and fuel pump belt being fitted.

On the road again......more adventures :)

Sounds ideal Bill, I guess with your advancing years that ground dwelling will soon be a thing of the past but you can hold your head up high mate you gave it your best shot

Oh don't worry Joe....I will still be slumming it under canvas or whatever for a while yet :D
Next year we are hoping to stand back a bit from the business and slide gently into full retirement........ so will have much more time to get away in it.
Well.....thats the plan anyway :)

Sounds like a very good plan to me Bill, I found retirement very difficult to handle for the first year

PIctures???? Is that not mandatory here?????

Sorted out the insurance for the camper through a specialist and trusted company. :)

Managed to get an "agreed valuation"policy in place.
So...... if we are unlucky enough to write off the vehicle we will get a cheque for the "agreed valuation" rather than the market value.....which is without doubt... considerably lower.
Pleasantly surprised at the level of cover and inclusions.

Habitation centre is holding things up with staff sickness at the moment

wont be long mate :) soon be pounding the miles on the motorways ,,,, can see a trip on the nc500 coming on

Ohhh the "Mc 66" is defo on the cards @Matt  Lorraine and "Eddie" will love that.
Maybe not this year though.

Would like to squeeze in a trip to the Isle of White for a couple of weeks this year...... if we can spare the time and the current situation improves.

Happy campers noo bill 👍🏻 Top job, look forward to the pictures 👍🏻

any trips planned?

Hi Mark.

We have a few trips in the making......a fair amount of our previous trips in the other MH were Cornwall based....time was of the essence because of work commitments.....so a short drive and stay was our easiest option.
We are now looking at Cornwall to Scotland and in between :)

@divebuddy @lol

You impatient pair of buggers

Here she is..... Still not finished yet.
This is " Wilma" an Autosleeper Gatcombe.
In which we hope to share many haapy hours and journeys :)

Nice. I assume your bunk is the one over the cab😃👍

There is the option of making it a bunk up top over the cab Dick.....but we are going to keep it to a 2 berth.
2 singles or a double option.....lounge seats slide out to form the bed/beds
Not having the bunk above leaves us with a nice large storage locker......for bedding pillows etc.

Also.......the overhead cab bed might struggle to hold my weight 🤭
