I take it from that that your angler Mike, sea fresh or both?Snap. I get it now when my pop would say he needed a younger man and a set of jump leads.
I do need some new waders. I've got a few too many repairs on the old ones.
Its a pity you live so far away because I'm looking to slim down my kitFresh, mainly coarse haven't had much chance for fly fishing. I almost bought piece of land with access to a trout stream not long ago but the fishing rights weren't being sold with the land. I've never had the chance for sea fishing and now I'm too decrepid.
Will you be tucking the bottoms in? I've experienced the German ticks first handI just ordered a pair of zipp off trousers from Pinewood. Hunting green, 65%Polyester 35% Cotton. "Sahara" they are called, but my idea is to use them in France and Germany during the summer.
We will see, if they are worth the money.
But a lot of people recommend them, so I hope, they will survive a bit.

been there and done that as well but I'm inclined to check my dogs before myselfI've experienced the Sussex ticks first hand, you wouldn't believe the dosage of antibiotics they gave me.
Yes I have a couple of tick tools, some of the worst have been the deer ticks in the New ForestThe dogs were not with me on that jaunt Joe but I respect that you care for your dogs first. Do you carry a tick removal tool. I use the old fashioned one that is like a little fork set at a right angle to the handle where you twist the tick clockwise to release its jaws.
Yep nasty little beasties and when they do bite the itch can last for ages and there is a major temptation to scratch the bite which in turn can lead to infectionI have been known to treat the tops of my boots belt line and cuffs of my trousers with permethrin to dissuade ticks but my number one insect enemy are horse flys. For mosquitos and midges you can just net up but horseflys will bite right through your clothing. They seem to prefer me as a staple food group and they damn well hurt!
