Zebra Pot Baking

Excellent find Al thanks for sharing..........cracking scran for Breakfast!!
No need for frying pans.....easy neat and efficient cooking:thumbsup:

To make that Muffin......what mix and quantities would you use?
I would have to add a side of tinned tomatoes to that.....love em :rofl:

That's the ticket Al :D................just can't have a cook kitchen that is under equipt .........good fun to use at home in the garden too

The recipe in the clip for the bannock was handy..........I suppose you could add currents to that too
I think a trip to one of our local beaches here is in order.......pick up some small pebbles.
More than likely find enough in the woods.....but.....just in case:D
I have a grill plate for my Firebox.......so that will double up as a griddle for inside the Zera

Looking forward to this now:)

I was thinking that the 14cm may be tight, so a 16 and a 12 ? use the insert of the 12 turned upside down in the 16 and then the 12 pot on top, does that make sense ? not sure if metal against metal against metal would burn though, fun trying though :D

Sounds like a plan Al  being stainless steel I would have thought that it would be fine mate.......if it isn't.....IGNORE this post :whistle::rofl:

Ah, nice table, just be careful, those legs have a habit of folding back on themselves and the joint if the table legs aren't fully spread, not trying to teach Granny to suck eggs an' all, it's the same one Big G has and has happened to him a few times :)

Lovely...when he finally took the lid off I almost fainted with hunger....

I shall try that at home first I think, just so that I get the drill correct. Did he really scoff a whole packet of bacon with that??....

Good find mate, that's what I was looking for :)

The guy I linked to above does some crazy cooking and mostly on a Trangia by the looks of it, need a 14cm as well to go inside the 16cm :D;)
Just could not help myself Al .......not a fan of bending too much so I have ordered one of these.
They do tablecloths to suit apparently......and little pots with flowers in to accessorize :rofl::rofl:

Thanks Bill that's what I was looking for. Pressed the button and ordered one.

Table Bill. Already got one zebra pot but maybe look at another of different size for the baking. Similar to the set up I used at last Summer camp using my aluminum billy cans for bannock.

Proper job Dick.

I remember the current/sultana bannock you made and shared at the meet......bloody lovely:thumbsup:
The little table will hopefully be a good platform to hold the set up on :)

Al and I are going for the 16cm Zebra.....seems like a fair option?

What do you think of the Breakfast muffin above ^^^.......see also link to Zebra with metal handle clips mate ^^^^^^

Got a few bits n pieces together in readiness for "The Great Breakfast Muffin Fest" and Bannock trials :D
Waiting on the Postman to deliver the Zebra pot etc.

Milk Powder.
Baking Soda.
Flour.
Salt.
Sugar.
Need to get some Currents.

You'll have to let us know how you get on, with pictures of course ;) I'll do the same when I get mine, there another one where the guy mixes in chopped sausage to the mix, looked good.

I don't know mate, I've never had a notion to use one, if it's dodgy meat types I tend to over cook them to be safe, each to their own though :)
