i think im just about set kit wise for the trip afew bits of new clothes turning up for christmas and im on the hunt for decent warm socks

I've got everything I need, I think. I did get myself a 2.5 litre Kirtley kettle because the 5 litre one I have won't fit on top of my stove.

i will bring my old kettle for over the fire as well as my fire crane

I was thinking about doing some group cooking, nothing like a good hearty, hot meal to share between us. I reckon a whole rod-caught salmon ponassed in front of the campfire would be nice, or maybe some pan-fried tuna steaks? Whatdya reckon?

I’d be bloody jealous if Paul did manage to pull off such a coup, I doubt there is going to be much line caught salmon available, most waters are catch and release this year and it is illegal to buy, sell or barter for salmon caught in UK freshwater. It can however be freely given. I might even consider freezing my nuts off in Scotland for the privilege.
