After many years wanting a little bit of green and pleasant to call our own, we completed purchase of our bit of woodland last week.
To say we are chuffed would be an understatement...
4.3 Acres of native broadleaf, all relatively new being about 15 years since it was planted, there is a stream and next week a piped water supply will go in.
There is work to do, particularly strimming/brush cutting weeds and brambles, replanting a few trees that have died and a bit of replacement fencing.
About a 10 minute drive from home and down a half mile access lane, can't be seen from the road, so nice and private, overlooking AONB.....
Yesterday armed with a pruning saw and a machete (!) we cleared a path to a clearing that we intend to put a shed on and where the water supply will be piped to...there will also be a fire pit.....
Just need to do the permitted development process for the shed......
Feeling truly blessed and looking forward to an overnighter once the shed is up......
